Silver Blades Ice Rink Widnes provides a wide range of activities that all ages and abilities can enjoy. Just fancy a skate around with some friends come along to our public sessions or disco sessions; want to learn a new skill, create a new hobby and make a bunch of new friends book onto our Skate Excellence course; bored of just skating around the ice wasting your skills away jump onto our Ice Hockey Basics sessions or join our Widnes Ice Skating Club.
Are your children dying to go on the ice but you're a little nervous to take the leap? Come along to our parent and toddler sessions where your children can learn to skate in a fun, less daunting way on our dinky rink with penguins, toys and a qualified ice skating coach.
Can you not think of an interesting way to spend your chilled out Sunday nights? Come down and watch one of the fasted, most exhilarating and dangerous sports on ice... Ice Hockey. If you didn't already know Widnes have their own Ice Hockey team, the Widnes Wild, bringing in hundreds of fans to every home game; watch the players race, shove, nudge, dive and even fight on the ice, you'll never want a Sunday night sat at home in front of the TV ever again!
