The Barns at Mullion is a set of four self-catering barns in a courtyard on the edge of Mullion village, with a large garden across the lane. We are very close to the coastal path which goes all round Cornwall, and 10 minutes walk to the nearest beach (Polurrian Cove). Mullion is a village on the Lizard peninsula, and there are 10 sandy, rocky beaches within easy walking or driving distance. The village has 2 small supermarkets, a post office, 2 churches and several speciality shops as well as pubs.
The four barns are called after our children - Hat's and Bert's each sleep 6; Joe's sleeps 4 and Oofoo's (which is called after Ruth but uses her nick-name!) sleeps 2. Each barn is decorated differently. Hat's has a farmhouse feel, with lots of wood and big leather sofas. Bert's has a Victorian look, with a galleried walkway, huge chandelier and doors with stained glass panels. Joe's has a light, bright feel with large window, tiffany-style ceiling lights and bright orange and green accessories. Each of these three barns is open-plan with the living area open to the roof and mezzanine bedrooms. Hat's and Bert's each have a separate bathroom (with roll-top bath) and shower room. Joe's has a shower over the bath. Oofoo's is different in that it is a 2-storey building (the old granary) with one large room downstairs and one upstairs. The roll-top bath and shower are in the main room upstairs, with the loo separated off in its own cubicle. All 4 barns have central heating as well as a woodburner. Hat's, Bert's and Joe's have dish washers and all have free wifi. Bedding, towels and heating are included in the price. A small pet is welcome - we charge £10 for additional cleaning.
There are lots of activities locally - walking, swimming, surfing, riding, fishing, cycling, golf - or just wandering through the beautiful countryside and visiting the many fishing villages. You can also enjoylocal attractions such as the Eden Project, Lands End, Lost Gardens of Helligan, Minnack theatre, Poldark Mine and various National Trust properties. Our visitors come again and again.
