'Christmas Cottage' is a restored granite cottage which has lots of character, and care has been taken by the owners to make the most of this. It is situated in a pedestrian accessed lane, and has a parking permit for 1 vehicle in a private car park at the end of the lane. The cottage is assessed annually by Quality in Tourism, and has a 4 Star Rating. The main bedroom on the first floor enjoys spectacular views Across Mount's Bay to St Michael's Mount, Marazion and the Lizard Peninsular, and is a great place to explore the many attractions of West Cornwall and surroundings. The cottage provides luxury accommodation in a comfortable setting that can be enjoyed by couples or families. The cottage sleeps 4, plus a baby in a travel cot, which can be supplied, (bedding not supplied)! The cottage has gas central heating together with a wood-burner, a complimentary basket of logs is provided, others available locally. A fire-guard is supplied and a high chair if required, also a child step and children’s feeding cups and dishes. All bedding is supplied (beds are made up), together with towels, (1 Hand Towel and 1 Bath towel per person) also bath mats and tea towels, (no beach towels are supplied).

The main bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe (with mirror), bedside cabinets, and window seats for admiring the view, together with a sitting area comprising two chairs and a coffee table. There is a TV in this location, also coffee and tea making facilities. A hairdryer is supplied. The second bedroom to the rear contains adult sized Bunks (for 2) with superior depth mattresses, (yes adults can sit up to read), also a wardrobe (with mirror), and bedside cabinet, dressing table/desk and two chairs. A second hairdryer is supplied in this room. There is a TV in this room, and ample lighting, together with books. The bathroom is modern, with white porcelain sanitary ware, with chrome fittings and a granite surface under the basin, the bath has a shower above, a washer-dryer is located here, (a quick guide for the washer dryer can be found inside the door).

The main living accommodation (on the ground floor), comprises of one three seater sofa, and one two seater double sofa bed, and a coffee table. The dining room end has a table and six chairs, also a side table which houses extra serving dishes. There are also two window seats, in this location, and an extra wardrobe and storage for bedding. A good range of lighting is supplied also a TV and music system, we provide a mobile telephone, (guests leave payments in a box). There are folders with local information (including important emergency information and telephone numbers), together with manuals for appliances and maps, books and games for all ages. There are folders which give details of the nearby attractions and events and some a distance away. Numerous buckets, spades, nets and safe crabbing lines are provided for children.
The kitchen is light and modern with a range of integrated appliances including a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, gas hob, electric oven and microwave, there is a sink and a range of cupboards with an abundance of equipment and gadgets. You will find quick guides to the dishwasher and oven and important details for refuse and re-cycling. There is ample glassware including champagne flutes and vases. All cleaning materials are supplied together with cleaning appliances. We supply many extras such as, picnic-ware and flasks, also coffee, tea and sugar. Bin liners, foil, poly bags, dish-brushes, scouring pads, bleach, loo rolls, paper-towels, are supplied together with liquid soap (not block soap), washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and soap powder together with other toiletries, so you will not have to carry them. There are small courtyard gardens with seating front and rear with a BBQ and retractable washing line.

Newlyn has many pubs which provide food, (generally until 9pm) together with shops, galleries, a Post Office, restaurants, cafes and takeaways. There are also Sainsbury and Tesco (24 hour) Stores in Penzance, who will deliver to the cottage. Christmas Cottage, is on a bus route into Penzance, it is about five minutes away from Penzance and the Train, Bus/coach station by car. The cottage is near the harbour and beach. There are many attractions nearby and some a little further afield. Our bookings run from Saturday until Saturday. Arrival time at the cottage is any time from 3pm onwards. Departure is up to 10.00am. (please stick to these times to avoid inconveniencing the cleaning and laundry staff).
We have a parking permit for 1 vehicle in a private car park nearby, there is also on road parking. We do not allow Smoking inside the cottage.
No Pets are permitted at the cottage!
