Perfect for couples and family holidays - Both resorts have boat trips leaving the quay daily, hire a fishing boat and try your hand at catching some fresh mackerel for your evening meal, go seal spotting off Looe Island on a Glass Bottom Boat, or just pack a picnic basket and head out along the beautiful Cornish coastal paths to a secret beach.

Polperro has a sandy beach for children to enjoy with a cave to explore, a large shallow rock pool to paddle in called Maids Pool by the locals, and Chapel Pool - an inviting rock pool big enough to swim in - which appears as the tide recedes each day. The resort of Looe has a large sandy main beach – where you can hire kayaks by the hour, and Hannafore Beach – with fantastic rock pools to explore. Or if its total relaxation you’re after simply sit and watch time pass by as the boats gently bob up and down in the picturesque harbours. With an abundance of restaurants, Tea Rooms, Inns and cafes in both resorts, you’ll be spoilt for choice each day!

Polperro and Looe are well placed for exploring other parts of Cornwall too. Eden and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are only 40 minutes away, while Tintagel Castle (the legendary birthplace of King Arthur), Fowey, Padstow, The National Marine Aquarium at Plymouth, Bodmin Moor, and The Shipwreck and Heritage Centre are also within easy reach. South Devon is also just a short journey away - with great places of interest to visit - like Morwelham Quay and the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth.
