With spectacular views of Mount’s Bay and the Lizard peninsula, the Panorama Guest House is the ideal bed and breakfast from which you can explore the beautiful region of west Cornwall. Situated at the very top of Chywoone Hill in Newlyn, with St Michael’s Mount just across the bay, so many places are in easy reach: Penzance is just a stone’s throw away; Land’s End only 20 minutes drive; and St Ives, Marazion and the Minack Theatre at Porthcurno are within easy reach by car, bus or bicycle.
There are local walks that allow for views of the striking coastline and we are only 200 metres off the South West Coast Path. Buses stop outside the guest house. The ancient market town of Penzance is one of the largest tourist centres of the far west of Cornwall and is set in beautiful Mount’s Bay – a body of water dominated by the iconic St. Michael’s Mount. Located just 10 miles from Land’s End, an area of Celtic culture and outstanding natural beauty surrounds us.
About Panorama Guest House
Our six rooms are compact, very well equipped and freshly decorated with new furniture, comfortable beds, fresh flowers and chocolates. All rooms have central heating, tea and coffee-making facilities, hairdryers and flat-screen digital TVs with Freeview access to a range of television and radio stations. Each en suite shower room also contains a hand basin and a toilet, as well as complimentary toiletries.
We are dog-friendly by prior arrangement for a small extra charge – please contact us to confirm the facilities for your pet. We have quite a large garden available to guests and their dogs and many of our surrounding beaches and pubs are dog-friendly too.
Free parking
Panorama has a large car park for cars, vans and motorbikes and offers secure storage for bicycles. We can collect guests arriving at Newquay Airport or by train in Penzance. We can even offer a lift to guests who are daunted by the climb up Chywoone Hill as well as to Penzance and back.
Stay overnight with us then take the Scillionian III from Penzance or a flight from Land’s End or Newquay Airport.
Just across the road from Panorama Guest House is the inspirational Newlyn School of Art. Courses available include painting, drawing, sculpture, pottery and printmaking taught by many of the best known artists working in Cornwall today.
Our Breakfast/Dining Room is on the first floor and has wonderful views of Newlyn, Penzance and Mount’s Bay. If you venture through the sliding doors and on to the balcony, you can see the iconic St Michael’s Mount across the bay.
Join us every morning for either a continental breakfast (with a selection of cereals, fresh juices and pastries) or set yourself up for the day with a wide choice of cooked breakfasts.
We also cater for special diets including gluten-free and vegetarian.
You are also welcome to use the Breakfast/Dining Room in the evening for a takeaway meal and we can offer suggestions of the best places for you to try. Of course, there are also a number of great pubs, cafes and restaurants in the area and we are more than happy to provide recommendations.
In our comfortable guest’s lounge – The Crow’s Nest – there are plenty of sofas and chairs in which to relax. We provide board games, playing cards, books and magazines as well as a large screen TV and DVD player. We also have a range of DVDs to entertain all members of the family, either in the evening or if you choose to stay in on one of our rare wet days.
There are spectacular views across Mount’s Bay from the picture window.
We look forward to welcoming you to Panorama Guest House,
