The Garden is contained within two secluded valleys adjoining at right angles and covering 43 acres. One valley includes the River Black,a lake and ponds,the other a stream and ponds. The valley sides are contoured with wide grassed paths.
There is a wide range of planting with magnolia,rhododendron,camellia,roses and many ornamental trees and shrubs. Many bulbs cover the ground including vast swathes of bluebells. Wild life is abundant from insects to birds and deer.
The range of planting provides year round interest with fabulous Autumn colour.
An extensive nursery sells a wide list of plants at modest prices.
