Delicious fine dining in a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere at Number 9 Restaurant, Wimborne
Our head chef, Greg Etheridge, locally trained at Bournemouth and Poole College is a graduate of the Academie Culinaire de France, and has won Best Seafood Restaurant of the year, nationally, 2005/2006. Greg has a wealth of experience, having spent 3 years working at the famous Langan's Brasserie, London, and he has also had 2 AA rosettes for the past 10 years. Greg has also won last years 'Dorset chef of the year award 2014'and our restaurant has been nominated as a finalist for this years' Dorset Best Restaurant'
Greg's vision at Number 9 is to consistently create traditional food with a modern twist, with ingredients, where possible, sourced locally, to create wholesome, flavour full, high quality dishes, that are beautifully presented. Greg is also more than happy to tailor make dishes for our customers, so if you have any allergies or food intolerances, please do just let us know!

Our rooms have been sponsored by Farrow & Ball to a beautiful specification. We have three guest rooms all of which have double beds. Our three rooms (Silvergate, Versailles and Teresa's Green) are all situated above our award winning rosette Restaurant and have been decorated to the very highest standard by our kind friends and sponsor, Wimborne based Farrow & Ball.
The entrance to the rooms is separate to the restaurant therefore once guests have checked in, they can come and go as they please.
Our rooms have been named by Farrow & Ball and offer an array of modern conveniences such as flat screen TVs, wireless internet, tea and coffee making facilities and a choice of pillows.
Number 9 have also worked in conjunction with Wimborne businesses, namely Cream & Co, who have provided fabulous organic bedding and towels, and Neal's Yard who supply our organic bathroom products. Tickiti Boo have sourced wooden furniture from Wimborne (painted with complementing Farrow & Ball hues), and the windows have been dressed by Lorraine O'Hara from Maison D 'Interiors.
Other facilities available: Iron/ironing board, local/homemade produce (when available). Any beverage sold in the restaurant can be made available for our guests. A full English and Continental breakfast using local and organic produce will be available in the restaurant downstairs every morning. If however you prefered something earlier and lighter and would like this to be served in the communal kitchen upstairs then this is certainly no problem!
