Three bedroom Country House Bed and Breakfast (B&B) in West Dorset between Sherborne and the coast at West Bay. Well furnished and stylish house with lovely antiques and paintings, with a large garden room for breakfasts with a sitting room area with sofas and log fire for cool evenings. The comfortable beds (kingsize or twin beds) have crisp white linens, and bathrooms offer good water pressure for showers and baths with plenty of hot water, and Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries. Flatscreen TVs, WIFI, tea and coffee with hot chocolate, fresh milk and biscuits, bottled water and a chocolate mint.

The location is very peaceful with fields all around, and magical views of the Dorset countryside. The garden and our terraces overlook the view and the garden furniture enables guests to relax with a cup of tea, and enjoy the view, the house martins flying about, and in the later evening the specatular sunsets. Deer can often be seen grazing in the fields, and the local birdlife is very special. In June our roses are at their best but continue throughout the summer, and the sweet peas come into bloom in August, when we always have a wonderful display continuing through into September.

The coast is just 12 miles and within half an hour drive, and there are many wonderful historic houses and excellent gardens to visit - Mapperton House, Forde Abbey, Montacute House, Minterne Gardens, Abbotsbury Gardens and Swannery, Sculptures on the Lakes, to name a few. Lovely market towns include Bridport, Sherborne, Beaminster and Dorchester, with with Bridport market on a Saturday being great fun and very special. Coastal walks on the headlands make a great day out, and there are many walks directly from Wooden Cabbage if you do not wish to take the car. There are very good local pubs closeby for suppers each evening, or restaurants for the 'Special Occasion' Dinner.
