Home to 250,000 seabirds during the breeding season (Apr-Oct), RSPB Bempton Cliffs is the most accessible seabird colony in the country. Puffins nest in the nooks and crannies of the chalk cliffs from mid April-mid July along with the UK's largest seabirds, gannets.

Six cliff edge viewing platforms give spectacular views of the birds and the coastline. Four viewing platforms have wheelchair ramps and viewing bays, and three are linked by a hard-surfaced path. Volunteers are on hand to help identify the birds and wildlife. Walkers can enjoy a stroll along the spectacular cliff top path.

The Yorkshire Seabird Centre houses information, CCTV from the cliff face, a gift shop and a food/drink counter. A decking area gives wonderful views over the nature reserve. Picnic tables are located nearby.

Events and activities take place throughout the year - from photography workshops to guided walks. Children's activities during the school holidays are popular. Self-guided nature trails can be followed at anytime. RSPB Seabird Cruises sail from Bridlington Harbour during spring and summer.

In winter the seabird depart and the cliff-tops fall silent - windswept walks above the wild North Sea are the perfect way to escape the hustle and bustle of town life.
