*St Barbe Museum & Art Gallery has been granted £1.78 million from the Heritage Lottery Fund for a major refurbishment and will close on September 2016 for building work to start.
The newly-transformed St Barbe will re-open in summer 2017 with even bigger and better galleries, new museum displays, a purpose-designed archive and much improved entrance with open-plan front of house area with museum shop, visitor information and cafe.
