Adgestone Vineyard

Established in 1968 and resting on the south facing slopes of the island's Brading Down, Adgestone is one of the oldest vineyards in Britain. With 5 subterranean cellars and 10 acres of vines, annual production is around 20,000 bottles per annum of English Wine. Our current range being Full Bodied Red made from our Rondo, Dry Wight from our Seyval Blanc, Medium Oaked Wight from Bacchus, Orion and Phoenix and Blush from our blend of Regent and Schoenburger.
Making the most of the island's micro-climate, we expanded in recent years to grow and produce an increasing range of Country Wines, including Elderflower, Blackberry, Apricot, Cherry and even Ginger. The latter being almost unknown in the UK outside of a glasshouse.
Our range of Liqueurs are a constant temptation for those with the sweeter tooth and our infamous trade marked "Arson Fire" chilli based jams and liqueur are a must for those of you looking for a fun present.
Over 90% of our produce is sold direct from our farm shop, which also offers a café, live music in the summer and audio guided tour of the vineyard and cellars, where you will finish off with a personal 20 minute wine tasting lesson.
Those wanting to get away for a very peaceful weekend may want to book the Snug, our log cabin style B&B, where you will get a complimentary tour and tasting lesson. In the evenings, feel free to BBQ at the top of the vineyard and watch the cruise liners drift by.
For all opening times, please see our website.
