Buoy and Oyster is an independent family owned restaurant in the seaside town of Margate, Kent. Ideally located a stone's throw away from the Turner Contemporary, Dreamland and Margate Old Town and with an outside terrace over looking the beach it is the perfect location to enjoy the stunning views and beautiful Margate sunsets in a relaxed and stylish setting. Owners Nadine and Simon are passionate about showcasing the best of the local Kent produce and all dishes are freshly prepared using only top quality, seasonal ingredients from our fantastic local suppliers.

Simon and his team create well loved dishes such as moules frites, seafood platters, beer battered fish and chips and of course, oysters. By using local Kent fishermen all fish and shellfish are usually landed and on your plate the very same day. Although specialising in seafood the large bistro menu has a variety of other options with the braised ox cheek, 28 day aged 10oz rib-eye steak and lamb rump already firm favourites. The menu also has a variety of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options and the team are happy to accommodate any dietary requirements with advance notice.

The cosy coffee and cocktail lounge is open from 11am to 11pm Tuesday-Saturday where high standards continue throughout our coffee, cocktail and wine selection. We only use freshly ground Illy beans in all of our coffees and all cocktails are mixed to order by our trained cocktail bartenders using fresh fruit and premium spirits making us the perfect venue for pre-theatre drinks and get togethers with friends. If one of the delicious seasonal cocktails doesn't tempt you then perhaps a personalised Gin & Tonic will - think Sipsmith, elderflower and rosemary served in a goblet and go from there! Every Sunday we serve a traditional Sunday roast in addition to our full menu. We are family friendly and welcome larger parties.
