Louth Playgoers’ Riverhead Theatre is a local community owned venue. It is maintained and run by a dedicated team made up almost entirely of volunteers. We have a Main Auditorium which holds 209 and a Studio Theatre with a capacity of 90. Each Season which runs September to August, we produce 7 plays, a Pantomime and an annual Musical from our in-house Society. In addition to this we have visiting companies all year round bringing a variety of performances as well as hosting junior workshops throughout the summer. We have a Young people's group, the Riverhead Producers aged 12-25 who are self sufficient n producing their own comedy nights and music events. We also have a Youth theatre aged 7-18, Blackbox, who meet on a Saturday morning and perform a few shows during the year.
