Unlock the splendour within the finest Georgian townhouse in England. Originally the winter home to Viscount Fairfax and his daughter Anne, Fairfax House is a classical masterpiece of the 18th Century, featuring exceptional stuccowork, and a richly decorated interior, designed by York's most distinguished architect, John Carr.
Today, Fairfax House reveals the elegance of city living in Georgian York. The superb collection of 18th Century furniture, clocks, paintings and decorative arts perfectly complements the house, bringing it to life and creating a special lived-in feeling.
