Whether horse riding for an afternoon or holidaying with us for a whole week, at KIMMERSTON, one of the best known horse riding centres and stables in the NORTH EAST OF ENGLAND, near the breathtaking CHEVIOT HILLS and the enigmatic HOLY ISLAND in BEAUTIFUL NORTHUMBERLAND, you can experience exhilarating horse riding you will never forget.
From meandering near the banks of the nearby River Till to galloping in the heather on the moors overlooking the Cheviot Hills and cantering along the clean, white beaches of Holy Island we have a full range of rides and instruction to excite those of all skill levels.
We are located just near a small village called Milfield, a couple of miles from the market town of Wooler.
Supervised rides around the beautiful Northumberland coast & countryside with horses suitable for all experiences and sizes.
HORSES FOR SPECIAL EVENTS
Kimmerston also provide horses for Film, Television and Photoshoots, with the horses available for film work in most locations throughout the UK.
There are also horses suitable for use at all kinds of functions, especially weddings.
GROUPS & TEENAGE RIDING HOLIDAYS
We are very experienced in looking after groups of all sizes and regularly have large school outings, police cadets, cubs/scouts and office parties of up to 20. According to numbers we alternate riding with stable management instruction.
Please ask about our excellent discounted rates for groups of 10 or more.
We also offer residential teenage riding holidays.
We provide Self-Catering Cottages for families or groups to enjoy a riding holiday, or short break, or to simply to enjoy our beautiful countryside.
CONIFER COTTAGE
Adjacent to Kimmerston Riding Centre with three bedrooms, two with a double bed and one with two singles (bedding provided free of charge); The sitting room has an open fire (coal also provided free of charge) with a beautiful view towards the Cheviot hills. There is a colour TV and DVD player and ipod dock. Large play area at the back and garden.
Riding Holidays and Conifer Cottage normally run from Saturday to Saturday.
AKELD COTTAGE
Situated 3 miles from Kimmerston, at the foot of the Cheviot Hills on the edge of Northumberland National Park – a lovely three bedroomed cottage with a big garden.
Akeld is Friday to Friday but we can adapt this to fit any requirements you may have.
Our nearest train station is at Berwick-upon-Tweed (14miles) from which we can arrange collection. Please email for further information.
