The Killingworth Castle is an award-winning country pub with boutique bed & breakfast and many awards for food. It is ideally situated for visits to Blenheim Palace, Woodstock & Bicester Village shopping outlet and only a few miles away from the historic city of Oxford itself.
The pub is independently owned and has held a Michelin Bib Gourmand for three years and has won both 'Pub of the Year' and 'Restaurant of the Year' awards. It has eight beautifully appointed and individually decorated bedrooms which have just been refurbished to a high standard (4 stars).
The pub is of historic significance as a coaching inn dating to 1637 and Winston Churchill himself used to drive out from Blenheim for a spot of lunch when he was in residence.
The pub has home brewed craft ales, roaring fires and a warm, friendly atmosphere and large beer garden, the perfect place for a weekend away or stopover from a day at Blenheim Palace. Bedrooms have rolltop baths, hand crafted kingsize beds, luxurious soft furnishings and hand picked art and taxidermy!
