Grade II Listed half timbered self-catering Cottage and converted brick built Byre with ample parking, and separate enclosed gardens.

Romantic rustic seclusion, within 34 square miles of ancient woodland, including huge National Nature Reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest. Manor Holding, within the site of a medieval royal deer park centred on an iron age settlement, stands in it's own 2ha (5 acres) of wild flower meadows and ancient orchards, frequented by fallow deer, half a kilometre from the nearest tarmac. A vast maze of traffic free footpaths, bridleways, and cycle trails lead from the door, linking thousands of miles of long distance trails, through outstandingly beautiful rural countryside and historic towns and villages.

Super efficient wood burning stove, plus invisible under floor heating and a sheltered south facing garden and patio, make the cottage warm and full of sunlight. Pale terracotta & oak floors add to the old world charm of crooked timber frame, leaning walls and low ceilings. Solid oak plank doors and mullioned windows, finished with hand made wrought iron fittings, contribute to the homely character.

Sensitively restored using appropriate materials, such as clay daub, lime plaster and green oak, to regain much of it’s original character; the cottage has two bedrooms upstairs, 2 living rooms plus hall downstairs, inglenook, and old stone bread oven in a well equipped kitchen with twin fan assisted electric ovens,+ 4 burner gas hob and 6 speed air extractor hood.

The Byre, a small sensitively converted barn with views over an ancient orchard, has a single twin mezzanine bedroom accessed by an external stair, and a comfortable single sofa-bed downstairs with ensuite accessible wet room shower/toilet. It has a well equipped galley style kitchen, also with twin fan assisted ovens + 4 burner hob including a wok burner and 3 speed air extractor hood. The exposed roof beams and full height ceiling create give the impression of a much larger space.

The elegant Tudor and early Georgian river port of Bewdley lies 4 miles bike ride across the forest. Catch the famous Severn Valley (Steam) Railway here and spot the elephants, rhinos etc in the Safari park. Or visit GoApe and fly through the treetops like Tarzan.

Cyclists, ramblers, golfers, fishermen, heritage and wildlife enthusiasts, are all spoilt for choice. Or just lie back in the secluded suntrap garden listening to the bees and birds.

To the West, time stands still in the medieval ‘Slow City’ of Ludlow, world famous for its food, and surrounded by the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. To the north, past the civil war stronghold of Bridgnorth on its crag high above the quicksilver Severn, the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge in its wooded gorge, "birth place of the Industrial Revolution", and now filled with cutting edge museums. To the south lies Stourport a major late Georgian canal and river port, gateway to the Black Country before the age of steam.
Local award winning vinyards, breweries and food manufacturers compete for honours on the European stage.
