Our Luxury vehicles & friendly driver/guides take you on a journey through time to one of Britain's best kept secrets, exploring the oldest continuous settlement in England, a Royal Heritage, Modern History and the reason for Stonehenge.
We start in Salisbury, the Medieval City with all its history & mystique.
Then on to Old Sarum, the original City of Salisbury, which is an iron age settlement that became Salisbury after visits from Saxons, Danes, Vikings and Normans. Old Sarum offers wonderful views over the City.
We then follow a narrow riverside road through a picturesque valley with it's own story to tell.
At Stonehenge you will spend 2 hours experiencing the new visitor centre and the Ancient Stones before travelling to meet the Mighty Amesbury Ancestor, The Archer, the Mosaic and the 10th Century church of St. Mary & St. Mellor. Here you will discover a breathtaking account of the place where history began and uncover the reason why Stonehenge is where it is.
A return journey across Salisbury Plain will take you to where John Constable stood for his famous painting of the Cathedral across the water meadows.
The tour lasts around 7 hours.
