The Cottage
This simple building, originally home to unmarried ghillies employed by Ardkinglas Estate, is in the heart of a majestic highland glen with spectacular hills all around. 2.5 miles from the A83, a single track private road leads to a hamlet of four houses, with Glen Fyne Lodge as its focus.
Out of the reach of reception for mobile phones, television or broadband, this is a chance to change gear and immerse yourself in this special place. The cottage is simply furnished but comfortable, with a cosy wood-burning stove, a well equipped kitchen and a modern bathroom.
For ambitious hill climbers Beinn Bhuidhe is just to the north, while several other Munros are within easy reach. There are plenty of other less demanding hills around Glen Fyne for everyone to choose from and also a very beautiful easy walk along the track that follows the River Fyne 4 miles to the head of the glen.
There’s a wide range of places to eat around the shores of Loch Fyne,- the original Loch Fyne Oyster Bar, the Tree Shop, Fyne Ales and the Cairndow Stagecoach Inn. Inveraray is only 20 minutes away, with many shops and restaurants.
