Mill Cottage is a cosy, comfortable and spacious semi-detached stone cottage which sleeps 5 in 3 bedrooms. Downstairs is designed for easy wheelchair access, with family kitchen, sunny twin- bedroom, and wet-room, and the floor is tiled throughout to create a relaxing sense of space and light. From the sitting-room upstairs, there are lovely views across our 30 acre meadow to the river Lyne and hills beyond, and there is a wood-burning stove for those who enjoy a real fire.
The accommodation is located half a mile North of the small village of Romanno Bridge, and 3 miles from the picturesque historic village of West Linton. The owners live next door, and are on hand with local information and advice if needed.
It is ideally placed for exploring the beautiful Scottish Borders countryside with its lovely walks and historic houses, yet at the same time, an easy 30 minute drive will take you into the centre of Edinburgh with all its many attractions. Our visitors find it easy to explore further afield in Scotland, while others prefer to stay at home to relax.
We welcome well-behaved dogs, but they must be kept under good control at all times as we have a dog, a cat, free-range poultry, and sheep in nearby fields. At present, there is no livestock on our field, making it ideal for dog-walking.
