Mill Cottage provides self-catering accommodation for up to 5 people. It is ideally placed for visitors who want to enjoy its easy access into near-by Edinburgh, or to explore the beautiful countryside of the Scottish Borders. The property is a traditionally-built semi-detached house, dating back to 1827, but internally renovated. The owners live next-door and are always available for advice to make your holiday run smoothly. Downstairs has been designed to be wheel-chair friendly, with a twin bed-room and wet-room next to the family kitchen, and tiled throughout. Upstairs there is the living-room with lovely views over the property's 30 acre meadow with river. There is a large bedroom with a double bed, a single-bedded room, and a bathroom with shower.
There is ample room for parking in our garden area.
Dogs are welcomed, providing kept under good control, and children have space to play in the garden.
Mill Cottage is situated on the A701, exactly half a mile from the hamlet of Romanno Bridge, and 3 miles from the beautiful and historic village of West Linton . We are well-placed for visiting all the better-known attractions :- Edinburgh Castle, Stirling Castle, The Falkirk Wheel, Roslyn Chapel, The Ratho Climbing Centre, Hillend Ski Centre,mountain-biking and tree-top climbing at Glentress. Or just stay at home, enjoy our walks, and try some fishing.
The cottage has central heating, but also a wood-burning stove for those who enjoy a real fire.
Rentals are usually made on a weekly basis, starting on a Saturday, but short breaks can also be available, with a minimum of 3 nights. The rental price of £450 - £550 per week is inclusive of sheets, towels, heating and electricity.
