Burntisland Golf House Club welcomes visitors and offers the most competitive rates around. Golf has been played in Burntisland for over 300 years and at the current venue since the 1890s. Tom Morris surveyed the land and thought it would make a fine golf course. Willie Park laid out the course (his only one in Fife) and then none other than James Braid advised one or two upgrades in the 1920s. To play here you really are following in the footsteps of legends.
Although under 6000 yards in length the course is no pushover and you'll need a full range of shots to master it. The greens are invariably quick and true with subtle borrows that take a keen eye to read. The frustration of the odd 3 putt melts away however, as you drink in the views up and down the River Forth from the bridges in the west to the Bass Rock and Berwick Law to the south east.
We are 20 mins from the Forth Road Bridge, St Andrews is just up the coast in Fife, and Gleneagles is under an hour away.
Burntisland is a 'must play' for any golfer either staying or passing through Fife and a warm welcome awaits.
