Glede Knowe is located in the village of Innerleithen, near Peebles, and offers excellent 4 star accommodation within walking distance of several local pubs, cafes and restaurants. The guest house sits in an acre of gardens with lovely views of the local hills and has ample on-site parking for guests. There are seven spacious bedrooms, five of which have en-suite bathrooms and two have private bathrooms. With flexible accommodation for up to 16 guests, Glede Knowe is an ideal venue for larger groups such as family parties or club outings.
Situated in the beautiful Tweed Valley, just 28 miles south of Edinburgh, Innerleithen is ideally positioned as a base from which to tour the Scottish Borders. Walkers are well catered for with a range of walks to suit all tastes and levels of fitness. The long-distance Southern Upland Way footpath passes through Traquair to the south of the village. For the more adventurous, we are 5 minutes from Glentress, the UK’s premier mountain-biking centre, and the artery of the River Tweed offers some of the best fishing in Scotland. Golfers are also able to choose between courses in Innerleithen, Cardrona and Peebles as well as many others within easy driving distance.
We provide secure racking for mountain bikes and fishing rods, storage for golf clubs, power wash facilities for bikes and also laundry and drying facilities. Packed lunches are available with a little prior notice.
You are welcome to come and enjoy the comfortable breakfast room/lounge where you can relax and appreciate the views of the surrounding hills and on sunny days the large, south facing patio area with its beautiful flower displays beckons.
