Situated above the Mid Wales coastal town, the 18 hole, championship Aberystwyth Golf Course is blessed with stunning views over Cardigan Bay. From Snowdonia and the Lleyn Peninsula to the Preseli Mountains in Pembrokeshire, there is hardly a comparable view from any golf course, anywhere.
Aberystwyth was one of the courses designed by the legendary six times Open Champion, Harry Vardon, an all time ‘golfing great’. It is probably his most spectacular in terms of views and it has stood the golfing test of time.
Aberystwyth Golf Club celebrated its Centenary year in 2011 during which we hosted the Welsh Ladies Team Championship and the Welsh Boys and Girls Inter County Championship. It has appeared in Golf Monthly magazine’s 100 best hidden gems in the UK and our friendly welcome was given a prominent mention in another edition.

Aberystwyth is a great test for golfers of all abilities, the walk is a good workout and for players wanting a more leisurely buggies are available. Our 18 hole course extends over 6,100 yards and is well maintaine. Our greens team take great pride in the condition of the course and regular returning visitors tell us it has never been better. The golf course is situated above the university town of Aberystwyth overlooking Cardigan Bay. A round of golf will give you views of the magnificent West Wales coast which are truly spectacular. They take in the mountains of Snowdonia to the north and sweep round to the Preseli Hills of Pembrokeshire in the south.
In addition to these wonderful views, the area is also home to a variety of wildlife including some spectacular birds of prey such as the red kite and a range of marine creatures such as bottlenose dolphins, grey seals and porpoises.
