Perfect for group activity and family gatherings, Corris family Hostel, with its 42 beds in a mixture of private rooms and dorms, offers accommodation with a very special atmosphere that disengages the stresses of the outside world. The award winning hostel is renowned as a spiritual haven with its caring, easy going atmosphere, friendly staff, chill out areas, cosy wood fires and collection of inspiring books, games and paintings and local crafts. Situated in a beautiful slate built former Victorian school, the hostel has almost Alpine like views over the picturesque mountain village of Corris. Outdoors the terraced landscaped gardens provide a serene, inspirational environment for even the largest groups. An added bonus are the barbecue and camp fire areas for visitor use. Nestled in the foothills of Cadair Idris, the hostel is located in the Dyfi Biosphere and the southern end of the Snowdonia National Park. Down river are nature reserves and miles of golden beaches at Aberdyfi, while the lofty Cadair Idris nestles in the next valley. Close by is the Centre for Alternative Technology and within walking distance, Corris Railway, Corris Craft Centre and Mine Explorers, King Arthur's Labyrinth and a range of outdoor pursuits.
