The Zooba brand is a celebration of Egyptian street food culture. We believe that Egyptian street food rivals the best street food anywhere in the world and that through Zooba we can proudly share Egypt’s unique wholesome street dishes offering the beloved traditional versions and our own innovations. Egypt’s streets are alive with color, sound, and originality that are represented in our outlets and we believe should be shared with the world. Zooba is committed to sourcing only the freshest, highest quality produce available in the local market. This commitment is at the heart of our brand. We want our customers to know their food and to take pride that Egyptian street food can be prepared at this quality level. Zooba is also committed to ensuring that each ingredient is free of preservatives, additives or artificial color. Food transparency is important at Zooba and we offer nutritional information on each ingredient and each dish.

In May 2016, Zooba won the London Falafel Festival competition held at the Borough Market and introduced Egyptian Falafel (Taamia) in London. We have been perfecting our Taamia recipe since Zooba opened the first branch in 2012. The ingredients have to be fresh and have the right balance of texture. We blend the fava beans with green herbs and a spice mix and then offer either a classic Taamia or Taamia filled with eggplant or with a spicy filling.

Zooba’s menu is designed for those who want traditional options, those who crave a new twist on the traditional, and those who want to create their own mix with various add-on options. We aim to blend the familiar with the unfamiliar to give our clients the foods they know and love and tempt them to experiment a bit. Many of our dishes are vegetarian and some vegan. On the familiar side, Zooba’s menu features Taamia (Egyptian Falafel), Ful, Koshari (a mix of pasta, rice, beans and tomato sauce), and Hawawshi (a pressed spiced ground beef sandwich). We also offer classic street protein options including Spiced sausages with mixed peppers, Kofta, and both chicken and beef Liver. Our menu offers two sandwich sizes and platters that include Zooba’s five-spice rice. Our bread, an Egyptian pita variety, is baked fresh on site. On the more unfamiliar side, we add creative twists like our eggplant Taamia and our whole grain Koshari option. True to the Egyptian street, we offer a variety of mixed pickles, tahini, French fries, sugar cane and fresh salads. Fresh drinks include Hibiscus Lemon and Lemon Mint. To top it off Zooba has three varieties of rice pudding desserts.
