Ponderosa Golf & Country Resort is a resort destination that promises more than just golf. While it is close to the city, it is also secluded as an ideal getaway.
Ponderosa Golf & Country Resort is situated within a vibrant, high-end community which is Taman Molek, in Johor Bahru, the southernmost city of Malaysia closest to Singapore. It is only about 30 minutes’ drive away from Singapore. It is easily accessible to the North South Highway within 5 minutes from the resort that can lead you to international theme parks such as Legoland, Hello Kitty Town, Puteri Harbour and the Johor Premium Outlet within 30 – 45 minutes’ drive.
It has an 18-hole golf course close to the city and is the only night golf facility. It is also a holiday destination for families, venue for business meets, outdoor events and weddings. There is an Olympic-size swimming pool, children wading pool, tennis courts, Green Fitness outlet and a Javanese Spa. For accommodation there is the 16-room lodge - aptly called 'The Lodge' - with deluxe rooms and suites that have been favourably reviewed by online travellers for its copious space that are airy and comfortable.
The clubhouse is a double-storey, sprawling colonial-style building that houses the resort’s main dining and function halls. Here is found The Hop Sing Chinese Restaurant that serves a versatile range of Cantonese and other Chinese cuisine; the Cafe@Ponderosa for Malaysian quick meals and snacks and the Cantina Sports Pub & Café for beer, wines, western dining and a live band nightly.
