At The Pelican, seafood is the order of the day and there are numerous deep-ocean choices to please any discerning palate. A visit to The Pelican isn’t complete without The Pelican Platter ($138, serves 2 to 3) of fresh raw oysters, clams, mussels, poached prawns, crab and a whole Maine lobster steamed and stuffed with lobster tomalley. Or roll up those sleeves and have The Pelican Boil ($138, serves 2 or 3), served right on the table. Devour whole lobster, seasonal crab, mussels, clams, prawns, corn and potato boiled in The Pelican’s in- house broth of white wine and aromatic vegetables.

Inspired by the warmth of friendship and family bonding over a sumptuous meal, the homecoming dishes are created for sharing, and if we may blatantly add – to boast the chefs’ coveted cooking techniques not often seen in home kitchens. Fish lovers will be delighted with the Baked Snapper Pie ($40) of generous slivers of snapper, asparagus and mushroom, steaming hot beneath a golden layer of buttery puff pastry. Another Pelican classic, Clam Linguini ($32), is served with a generous serving of clams and linguini tossed in garlic and chilli. Guests with a penchant for non-seafood dishes will love The Pelican Burger ($35) – chopped steak clasped between toasted buns with smoked ketchup, plus a glorious selection of sides including the exotic Blue Cheese Creamed Spinach ($12) and Woodfire Grilled Chilli Cheese Corn ($14).
