A star of the kitchen as well as the stage, former TV chef Marc Kuzma (aka Claire de Lune) lets his talents shine at his Darlinghurst venture, Claire’s Kitchen at Le Salon. Step through the doors from Oxford Street, and enter a world of glamour, decadence and French chic. Soaring ceilings, imported wallpapers, glittering chandeliers, white linen, black Louis XV chairs and French antiques will make you feel like you’re world’s away from the chaos of the bustling street outside. Oh oui, nous aimons cela….(we love that!). Charming French waiters warmly welcome patrons at Claire’ and the brasserie classics with contemporary touches are done with true French finesse. The double baked three cheese soufflé or blue eye trevalla fillet served with crab bisque and spinach dumpling should be ordered immediately upon arrival and you should seriously consider finishing with something sweet from the dessert trolley followed by a fine French wine or Claire de Lune cocktail in the mezzanine bar. It’s French chic at its best.
