Cowra Japanese Garden and Cultural Centre is a Kaiyushiki (strolling) garden. It was designed by world renowned Japanese Garden architect Ken Nakajima. The Garden covers 5 hectares and represents the entire landscape of Japan from the mountains in the west , through the rivers and lakes to the ocean in the east. It is the largest Japanese Garden in the Southern hemisphere.
Take your time to stroll around the Garden and take in the beauty and serenity of the area . If you like you can feed the koi fish and native ducks.
The Cultural Centre contains hundreds of very valuable and culturally significant items .
You can sit and enjoy a DVD of the Garden in Spring.
