The Darwin History and Wartime Experience is the leading heritage tour in the Northern Territory. We offer a fun and informative tour through and around the city of Darwin in a genuine WW2 army truck! Discover Darwin from another perspective - see it through the eyes of the WW2 soldiers stationed here. A great introduction to Darwin, we give a comprehensive overview of the city and its history - exploring the city's "nooks and crannies" and discussing the events that made Darwin what it is today!

SHORT TOURS
Our most popular product is our Darwin History and Wartime Experience Tour. This tour goes all around the city of Darwin in about an hour and a half and includes, pre war, wartime and post war history. See Darwin from the back of a WW2 vintage truck. Sit back and listen to WW2 music and prime ministerial speeches while taking in the sights. Passengers have the option of being dropped at the Military Museum/Defence of Darwin Experience and being picked up by the subsequent tour (additional entry fee).

HALF DAY TOURS
Our half day tours include all that the short tour offers but with the addition of getting out and examining bomb damage, bullet holes and vintage vehicles at the Qantas hangar. We also stop at the Aviation Heritage Centre and have the chance to see the wreckage of American and Japanese aircraft shot down over Darwin during the war. Check out a B52 bomber – one of only three outside the United States, an F111, spitfire replica, relics from the air races of the 1920’s and 30’s and much, much more.
