We are a privately owned and managed horse riding centre on the Gold Coast of Australia only 30 min from Surfers Paradise.
Bonogin Valley Horse Retreat offers horse "experiences" not just horse riding.
All tours are run by the manager and owner, Debbie Burgermeister. Engage in these specially designed programs that were developed by Debbie. a Sydney 2000 Olympic Opening Ceremony rider and all round horsewoman. With over 30 years of horse experience under her belt and numerous coaching qualifications, Debbie will pass on her knowledge and have you horse whispering in no time.
Due to the specialised nature of the tours, they are available for an absolute beginner with no horse knowledge as well as for advanced riders. The unique qualities and benefits these experiences provide will have people walking away feeling exhilarated!
Experiences on offer are as follows:
1) FAMILY OR GROUP HORSE CONNECTION
One hour of HORSE CONNECTION and balanced riding for groups or individuals
An amazing natural horsemanship experience to connect with your horse safely, confidently and energetically.
It's the perfect way to introduce the enjoyment of horses and the great outdoors and it's a fun and unique experience to share with family and friends in a safe environment. You can book exclusive sessions on request, so it's great for team-building as well.
This session focuses on ground body language work for building excellent communication skills with your horse and discover a bit about yourself at the same time. It includes bareback balanced horse riding to master the ground work into a true bonding and working relationship. You will walk away with a feeling of control and confidence.
Morning or afternoon tea can be organised at the local cafe for an extra $5pp.
$150 for a group of 4 people
Price is for a group of 4 people and extra people up to 8 can be booked at $15per person extra sharing a horse.

2) RIDE AND RELAX WOMANS DAY OUT (1DAY OR 5DAY)
The women's day out can be taken as a 1 day experience comprising of aprox. 3hr whispering and riding experience followed by 2-3hrs day spa including lunch.
OR
Experience an in depth 1 week ride and relax package which comprises of horse whispering and riding experience , with a beach ride and a day spa experience at the end of the week. Includes lunch daily.
$250per person per day

3) MENS DAY OUT
You are picked up from your Gold Coast location with your friendly "Horsemaid Host" for the day. Coffee / Tea as you start your journey. Upon arrival at Bonogin Valley Horse Retreat you are escorted by your lovely "Horsemaid" to your "Cowgirl Coach" for the morning to take you through some bronc riding techniques (totally fine for beginners or let us challenge you), with bareback horse riding in our arena which can be as serious or as fun as you like and hopefully walking away without too many aches and pains. Bareback is seriously the best way to start out with learning to ride as it's all the fundamentals to get you started properly...it also separates the good, the bad and the ugly!
After you have discovered your cowboy within then we whisk you off to finish with a round of golf course in the bush, a few kangaroos in the mix and nothing better than a burger and beer with the blokes!
