Cairns Dive Centre is one of Cairns most respected dive companies and one of the largest training agencies in the world. We have been operating in Cairns for over 30 years, maintaining outstanding quality and customer service. Cairns Dive Centre offers day cruises and live aboard trips for the snorkeller and diver, day trips to Fitzroy Island, as well as learn-to-dive courses through all levels from Open Water to Instructors.

Cairns Dive Centre boasts two dive centres, one in the centre of Cairns, where we have a large retail dive shop and the other, Fitzroy Island Dive Adventure Centre, located on costal Fitzroy Island.

Day cruises operate daily onboard the M.V. Sun-Kist, for snorkel and dive trips to the Great Barrier Reef. Our day trip carries a maximum of 20 passengers, allowing for a very personalised day . All snorkel/dive equipment is included as well as buffet lunch and afternoon tea. Introductory Scuba dives are available on request.

Fitzroy Island Day trips also depart daily. Experience 7 full hours over on the costal island, Snorkelling, diving, sea kayaking, paddle boarding and viewing the coral onboard the glass bottom boat.

Liveaboard trips onboard the M.V. Kangaroo Explorer also commence daily. The M.V. Kangaroo Explorer is a 25 metre catamaran. Each of our 16 cabins (twin, double and 4-berth) is fully air-conditioned, carpeted, has its own en-suite facilities and window.

Our chef freshly prepares food, with most dietary requirements catered for. The top deck offers an enclosed air-conditioned sun lounge as well as an open and shaded sundeck. The boat is equipped with a spacious dive deck, providing easy access to and from the water.

We offer a variety of PADI open water dive courses, all of which consists of two days of pool and theory, which is held in our training facility, which includes an air-conditioned classroom and a heated, 4 metre deep training pool and then two or three days out on the reef for the training dives. We also offer a 4 day dive course out on Fitzroy Island.

Our dive sites have been selected for their diversity and abundance of Marine Life, with their magnificent array of coral formation, giant clams, walls, drop offs, swim throughs and brilliantly coloured fish. Our great number of dive locations allows us to pick the right dive spot for any particular day, making it as enjoyable as possible for our passengers. We visit reefs such as Milln Reef, Moore Reef, Thetford Reef and Briggs Reef, all of which are located approximately 65 kilometres off the coast of Cairns.
