This unique to Australia tour is "The Ultimate Rainforest Experience". Securely harnessed and with your own brake to control your speed you glide through the canopy at your own pace.
Forest Flying is located about an hour's drive west of Mackay in North Queensland. Each tour takes about an hour to an hour and a half to complete. The tour includes a demonstration and practice on a training cable , a walk through the forest with a talk on bush tucker along the way, and the main flying fox itself comprising a 230 m cable, viewing platform and 110 m cable.
Tours run daily, weather permitting. Bookings are essential.
There are no age restrictions but participants must weigh between 18 kilograms and 120 kilograms.
