Red Hot Chilli Pepper is a boutique herb, spice and chilli emporium located in the heart of Caloundra. Just look for the chillies hanging outside the shop. There are over 400 chilli products to choose from and lots of tastings are available. There is something for everyone, whether you like it very mild or 'blow your head off' hot! This gem of a shop also has a quirky coffee shop and tea-bar within it where you can sample a variety of spicy drinks like chilli coffees, chilli hot chocolates, real chai lattes, cardamom coffees, vanilla coffees, exotic teas and their world famous Turmeric lattes.

In the Marrakesh room at the back of the shop, guests can sit and relax with a cuppa of their choice and take in the enticing aromas that the shop offers. This is also the room where Vicki teaches people about spices - what they are, where they come from and how to blend and match them with food. 3 hour spice blending classes run at regular intervals throughout the month. "Licensed to Spice' is Red Hot Chilli Pepper's cooking school which is located nearby with hands on classes in Mexican, Turkish, Greek, Italian, Indian, Sri Lankan, Moroccan and Persian cuisines. Vicki, the owner is not a chef, but she is a very good cook and loves to share her knowledge of food and spice through her many years of travelling and living abroad. It's all about the spice! The latest edition to the Red Hot Chilli Pepper family is the annual 'Red Hot Spice Tour' to Kerala, India, the spice capital of the world. Visit spice plantations to see where spices come from, see how spices are traded on the Cochin spice trading floors, how tea is picked and manufactured on a tea plantation, see animals roam freely in protected nature reserves, and experience some breath-taking cultural temples. Throw in some cooking classes and a relaxing 2 day house-boat trip along the Kerala back waters and you can begin to imagine why this trip has become so popular. Bookings essential.
