We specialise in tourism, having operated scenic helicopter flights since 1984. Our head office is in Kununurra, a tropical town with around 8,000 residents. Kununurra is 42km from the Northern Territory border and services tens of thousands of tourists each year from April – October.
HeliSpirit operates a fleet of 20 helicopters which are based at Kununurra, Warmun, Purnululu National Park (Bungle Bungle), Mitchell Falls, El Questro, Katherine and Lake Argyle Resort.

Western Australia’s Kimberley Region is in the far north of the state and indigenous people have inhabited its enormous and rugged country for over 50,000 years. The climate is monsoonal and defines the landscape, which is astonishingly beautiful. The Kimberley covers an expanse of nearly 423,000 square kilometres (three times the size of England) with a population of only 33,000 people. A few hundred kilometres over the border in the Northern Territory is Katherine Gorge or Nitmiluk. Views from the air are spectacular and helicopters are the perfect aerial platform to capture close up views of the landscape. On some flights we land and shut the helicopter down to fish in wild rivers or swim in secret springs.
