Musterer's High Country Accommodation has been purposely designed with couples, families and small groups in mind.

A boutique development with a variety of accommodation for all budgets, 4 luxury separate self contained units, a delightful 1930's carriage for 2 people. A newly completed quaint cabin for 3 people. Then there is our converted wool shed for large groups or families accommodation for the all set with in 6 acres on the Fairlie/Tekapo highway all units are separate with stunning views of the mountains ahead.

New all-terrain Argo rides for up to 5 passengers for an exciting ride around our property and down to the Opihi river, Rides only $20.00 per family. Feed the animals or have a tour with Ryan either walking around or in the Argo enquire at office or extended trips by arrangement.

At the Beginning, why!

Our aim was to create a very relaxed holiday experience far away from a traditional motel / hotel, instead we wanted our guest to have their own separate home away from home with a very rural feel in construction with attention to detail with features like, dishwashers, washer dryers, tiled bathroom, full functional kitchen, carport, and to really make your stay a memorable one, your own wood fired hot tub just set off your own large deck with outdoor furniture.

Next we wanted plenty of room around the units so we added a communal covered BBQ area and a large open fire, and room for the kids to run around and kick a ball, some old farm machinery which they can climb aboard, a large flying fox and friendly farm animals you can pat and feed, take a tour with Ryan. Tractor rides on our old Farmall.

We have push bikes to use (free of charge) to explore our beautiful area, all within the Mackenzie playground yet far enough away from the tourist crowds.

We moved onto the property a 1980's shearing shed and set about converting it into a great multifunctional room with a functional kitchen, lounge & dining area, large adjoining deck with BBQ with lots of old interesting bits and pieces. Recently we acquired an ex 1930’s council carriage (The Gullie) towed to site we set about a full refurbishment to end up with a gorgeous little unit for a couple and a less expensive option than our main units. A newly built quaint cabin (Maimai) for up to 3 people again a less expensive option than our main units.

Camping: Four powered sites for caravans or motorhomes this area is currently been developed and will include an ablutions and picnic area.
