Unforgettable Helicopter Adventures across the top of New Zealand's South Island. We offer scenic flights over Abel Tasman National Park and Mountain Landings in the remote Kahurangi National Park. We are the company who personally flew the cast and crew while filming The Lord of The Rings Trilogy in the region and operate Lord of The Rings Tours with landings on the film sites. Abel Tasman Experience: Take a flight over the golden-sand beaches and pristine waters of the Abel Tasman National Park. Land for an optional gourmet lunch at Awaroa Lodge and take a stroll along the beach before returning to Nelson.

Kahurangi Highlights: This exciting flight takes us south west from Nelson and enters Kahurangi via Ghost Valley before climbing to the top of Mt Owen where we land to explore the unique rocky landscape and take in breathtaking views of Mt Owen and its surrounds.

Blue Lake Express: Rotomairewhenua / Blue Lake - The clearest lake in the world is located in the beautiful Nelson Lakes National Park. This flight takes us South to the Nelson Lakes area where we enjoy a spectacular mountain flight taking in views of Blue Lake. This flight is a two day journey by foot.

Lord of The Rings - Offical Site Tour - Mt Owen: Fly South West from Nelson to land on Mt Owen. Here filming was undertaken for 10 days and the result is one of the most moving moments in the film. It was here, distraught at the loss of Gandalf, the remains members of the Fellowship escape the Mines of Moria and throw themselves onto the ground in grief. Mt Owen also showcases some of the oldest rock in New Zealand and has priceless geological properties.

Lord of The Rings - Offical Site Tour - Mt Olympus: Fly North West from Nelson to land on Mt Olympus to view the strange pinnacle rock formations that were used to portray the rugged country "South of Rivendell". It was here, as the nine rested and cooked a meal, the Crebain crows of Saruman searching for news of the One Ring spied the travellers below. Hurriedly extinguishing their fire they hid behind the pinnacles in an attempt to escape discovery.

Lord Of the Rings - Official Site Tour - Combo Mt Owen and Mt Olympus: First track North West for a landing on Mt Olympus "South of Rivendell". Board your helicopter and fly South over vast and untouched mountainous terrain to land on Mt Owen "Exit from the Mines of Moria".
