The Nelson Market is one of NZ's top tourist attractions. For over 30 years it has been a showcase for the best the Nelson Region has to offer from artisans and food producers with up to 200 stalls weekly. The abundant range of hand crafts includes designer clothing, woodware, art, pottery, homewares, toiletries, toys, jewellery and accessories, books, metalwork, candles, furniture, textiles and much more.
The Nelson Market is held in the centre of Nelson each Saturday morning from 8am to 1pm. Entry is FREE. There are many international food carts serving a huge range of foods to enjoy and also many food producers from the region. You will find cheese, fish and meat products, chocolate and confectionary, fresh breads, condiments, nuts, seeds and many more items produced in this wonderful region, known for its abundant sunshine.
Visiting the Nelson Market is the perfect introduction to the extraordinary range of wonderful artisan producers that the Nelson Region is so famous for.
