Relaxed fine-dining restaurant on the famous Russell Waterfront. Built in 1847 on whalebone foundations, The Gables is one of New Zealand's oldest buildings. Seating inside and out makes the most of views looking west over the harbour; the location is truly magical, especially when the sun is setting.
The menu showcases local seafood as well as grass-fed NZ Beef & Lamb. We serve local oysters, whole fish and locally butchered prime cuts of some of the world's highest quality meat. The wine list spans all major NZ growing regions with a particular focus on boutique producers and wines from the far North.
