Self Drive 4 Wheel Drive Electric Eco Adventure in the Dart River Valley, 15 minutes drive from Glenorchy township.
Take control of one of our 3 seat electric off road vehicles, and head out into the stunning Dart River Delta. Ideal for all ages and abilities, each vehicle is equipped with an interactive GPS guidance system, which helps guide you around a 13 kilometer trail, surrounded by the majestic mountain vistas made famous by films such as Lord Of The Rings. Staff at the base building monitor your progress at all times and communicate via SMS messaging to ensure you navigate the course in comfort and safety. On the way round guests are informed about the areas geology, wildlife, and history through text, images and narrative loaded into the system. Guests are free travel at their own pace, and stop and explore whenever they wish. We recommend at least 2 hours to complete the tour, after which they can enjoy free refreshments and wi-fi back at the base building. Drivers must hold a current full driving licence, but the tour is suitable for all ages and abilities, so is ideal for couples, families and small groups.
