The Whareama Coastal Walk is a fantastic one, two or three day, fully catered walking adventure accross five farms, including part of historic Castlepoint Station and Ica Station. Exploring 'off the beaten track', the walk takes in farmland, rugged beaches, native bush and spectacular views! Whether you're looking for a challenge, something stimulating, or a more gentle experience, Whareama Coastal Walk is able to cater around your specifications - something that isn't always the case on trekking holidays.
Groups of two to 14 walk unguided at their own pace with a map and written directions, following distinctive markers, on a one-way loop track, so there's no bumping into other groups or re-tracing your steps. You walk with only a daysack, all your luggage is transported to the next cottage - your wine and beer put into the fridge ready for your arrival!
You will be walking on farm tracks, laneways or following fencelines over the Wairarapa countryside. It doesn't matter if you are a couple, or in a group, we cater for you with delicious home cooked meals. Your first night is spent at the historic Ica Station Homestead accommodation at Whareama, with a two-course evening meal ready for when walkers arrive, as well as breakfast and lunch for the following day.
Single day walks are also available if you don't have the luxury of time to stay overnight - for more inforamtion contact Carmen or Dick Tredwell or check out our website.
