Perfect levels of snow are guaranteed 365 days of the year at Austria’s only all year round ski region, the Hintertuxer Glacier! A spectacular experience for all nature lovers and sport enthusiasts. Regardless of whatever time of year it is you visit, one thing is for sure: The natural spectacle of the Hintertuxer Glacier will never cease to impress. In Winter the Hintertux Glacier is part of the biggest ski area in Zillertal: The Ski- und Gletscherwelt Zillertal 3.000 with 245 pist-kilometres.

Skiing in the sun in spring, summer and autumn or in magical winter landscapes – no other place in Austria can offer such diverse and beautiful surroundings as here, in Tyrol, in the Zillertal Valley at the Hintertuxer Glacier. All year round snowboarders adore the amazing wide open pistes, spectacular altitudes, legendary après ski and the guaranteed action-packed Betterpark in summer with Halfpipe, Funboxes, Table-tops and Rails. Away from the pistes climbers, walkers and mountain bikers can enjoy a huge array of trails and routes in and around this stunning region.

Younger guests will enjoy the exciting activities on offer at the Gletscherflohpark children’s play ground at 3250 metres above sea level, or at the Sommerbergalm. Furthermore, the Hintertuxer Glacier offers the perfect venue for day trips. Easy access (including disabled facilities) means that it is more or less effortless to get from the park garage right up to the highest point of the Panorama Terrace at 3250 metres above sea level with the Glacier Buses 1, 2, and 3 to experience the unforgettable surroundings and spectacular outlook.

But also off the slopes the Hintertux Glacier offers many things. One Highlight is the Nature’s Ice Palace. The entrance to this ice cave is only a 3 to 4 minute walk from the top station of the glacierbus 3 lift. On guided tours, visitors are asked to „Step inside” to this wonderful world deep beneath the ski slopes and discover a glacial crevasse with magical ice stalactites, giant sparkling ice crystals, frozen waterfalls and even a glacial lake.
