The Spannagel Cave at the Hintertux Glacier is Europe’s highest altitude publicly accessible cave and a very worthwhile day trip destination for families with children. With a measured length of around 12,5 km it is the largest rock cave system in the Central Alps, 500 metres can be experienced by visitors on a guided tour.
The family friendly Spannagel Cave Natural Monument is an ideal place to visit even in bad weather.
