We will arrive in Piazza Armerina, the splendid art city situated into the heart of Sicily, immediately you will be driven at the entrance of the Villa Romana del Casale; originally the property of a powerful Roman family, it dates back to the 4th Century A.D.
This majestic Imperial villa, standing tall in the Province of Enna, is a magnificent rural abode, fascinating, above all, for its captivating mosaics, considered the most beautiful and best-preserved of their kind. This fantastic place has been listed in 1997 a UNESCO World Heritage.
Optionally you can decide to book one of our tour guide which can be eventually shared with all the other passenger in the van, just let us know during the boking process or you can decide the same day of the excursion just before departures (if available)!

From Piazza Armerina we will drive you in another amazing village, Caltagirone, here you will admire the exuberant genius of late Baroque art and architecture. Even for this reason, it is included among the UNESCO world heritage sites.
In Caltagirone our guide will show you hidden places that will make you fully understand the Baroque art in Sicily and Europe.
In fact, along the streets of the town, you will be enchanted by stairways decorated with mosaics, Baroque churches in the historic centre and a Bourbon prison.
Wherever you go, you will see colors and floral subjects of Sicily depicted on countless ceramics that adorn the city. Here the ceramic culture is what characterizes and distinguishes Caltagirone for millennia.

Strolling through the Caltagirone alleys you will realize that the town reflects his glorious history: the Romans, the Arabs, the Normans, the Spanish and the French have left indelible traces of their presence, which not even the notorious earthquake occurred in 1693, that destroyed it, have been able to erase.
Caltagirone is a very aristocratic town indeed which will allow you to live a very interesting experience.
