Recommended by the New York Times in the article “36 Hours in Venice,” Venice Music Project presents its fourth season of concerts, taking you back in time to the era when Venice was a musical center of international prestige. Together, we will discover the great tradition of music in the Veneto, performed with original instruments and performance practices, in St. George’s Anglican Church, situated between the Accademia Bridge and the Palazzo Venier, home of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection.
Our resident orchestra, Venetia Antiqua, will also host prestigious ensembles from around the world. An important part of our mandate is the restoration of the places where we perform and the works of art that they contain, to help the city to remain alive for our own and future generations. This will be possible through our US501c3 non-profit organization, Friends of Venice Music Project, our Italian Associazione Culturale for European donations, and additionally a portion of box office receipts.
