Located just 45 minutes outside of Los Angeles, Farm Sanctuary’s Acton shelter is home to more than 100 rescued farm animals. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, you can take an hour-long tour of the 26-acre farm, meeting some of the incredible individuals who call Farm Sanctuary home along the way.
As you give a pig a belly rub, see eye to eye with a turkey, or get kissed by a steer, you’ll hear their amazing rescue stories while learning about the conditions befalling individuals just like them. Take Bruno, who, as a calf, fell from a moving transport truck on a busy highway. Or consider Regina, a three-legged sheep, who plays and snuggles with her friends as if she were no different. There’s also Junip Sydney and Von D — two pig who never knew their own families, but who found love and security here together. And let’s not forget about Yoda — a llama who lovingly dotes on the sheep and goats in his care.
You’ll have the time of your life, while honoring their lives and the lessons and love these rescued ambassadors share!
