As a dude ranch, of course we ride horses. However, we do a lot more than that! We hike trails, fish in mountain streams and lakes, raft the Arkansas River, climb to incredible vantage points on mountains, ride bikes along scenic mountain trails and simply breathe in the beauty of God’s creation every day. Yet, the true joy of a Deer Valley Ranch vacation is the “sense of belonging” that it provides.

Your resort accommodations at Deer Valley Ranch are different than virtually every other Colorado guest ranch with our offering of both lodge and cabins. When you stay in our simple lodge rooms you are right in the heart of the “old west” style of lodging. Downstairs from your room with private bath is the lodge lounge and fireplace, the front deck, and the ranch dining rooms. You can smell cinnamon rolls from your room, walk down in your stocking feet for coffee and the fire early every morning, and let your young ones sleep during breakfast if you wish. Our cabins are spacious two, three or four bedroom vacation cottages (small homes, actually). Each mountain vacation cabin has a fully-equipped kitchen, living room/dining area, fireplace and deck with a view. The cabins are great for families of four or more. All accommodations are decorated in a western decor and you’ll feel right at home for the week!

This year, we are introducing several new ways to enjoy the Colorado outdoors and give the adventure enthusiast something to write back home about for sure. These new adventures are specific fee-for-service experiences. They are all managed and guided by professional guides here at Deer Valley Ranch or as a partnered organization within the Arkansas Valley. Our main goal with the addition of these amazing new experiences is to allow your family time to be exceptional in every way.

Our evening activities are sure to provide fun and enjoyment for the entire family. From line dances on the deck under the Colorado stars, to laughing along with our staff as they perform songs and skits during Western Party, to enjoying "ultimate s'mores" around a iconic western campfire, evenings at Deer Valley are just the start of the fun.
