We're a family-owned whitewater rafting company nestled in the beautiful Arkansas River Valley between the towns of Salida and Buena Vista, Colorado. Independent Whitewater has been running the Arkansas River for over 35 years and we offer trips through the Browns Canyon National Monument, spectacular scenic family floats and advanced whitewater trips through the "Numbers" and the "Royal Gorge". Our CPR- and first-aid-certified guides are skilled professionals who love their jobs and are dedicated to having fun and providing you with the safest trip possible, no matter what stretch of the river you are running. Plus, with over 50 years of combined rafting experience, owner/guides Mike and Wiley can answer any question you might have about any aspect your trip.
Along with our many rafting trips we also have Zipline, horseback and mountain bike rides as well as a riverside bar and grill to enjoy before or after your trips.
