The Land of Nod Winery is a family owned and operated winery and vineyard. We have been producing top quality wines made from our grapes and fruit since 2000. We are located in the historical Litchfield Hill in Northwestern Connecticut. The Adam family has owned and operated the farm on which the winery now operates since the mid 1700s.
We offer tastings of all of our wines three days a week from April to November. The tasting room is open Friday , Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 5:00PM from the first weekend of April to the 2nd weekend of November. We grow both grapes and fruit on the property. We are currently offering 10 wines for our guests to sample. We also provide locally sourced wool from our sheep, local hand painted wine glasses and carved walking sticks.
Our farm and winery has links to the historic iron industry that operated in Connecticut in the late 1700 and the early to mid 1800s. The famous Beckley Iron Furnace is located just a quarter mile from our winery. Tours of the restored furnace tower are offered on the weekends.
We are very proud of our partnership with Orvis Outdoors in Avon Connecticut to provide private Fly-fishing events on our local pond for groups of 10 to 20 people. We provide gear and instruction and a food and wine pairing to end the days events for our guests. The cost is $15.00/ person.
